[1] Georg Christoff Oechslen arrived from Rotterdam via Plymouth in Philadelphia on 2 October 1727 aboard the "Adventure," John Davies (Mirion), Master (view passenger list). Accompanying him were his wife, Maria Margretha (Müller) and an infant son, Henrich. They are the last entry on the list and their place of origiin is listed as Böhl, Bayern-Pfalz. He signed the Oath of Allegiance upon arriving in America that day. It is not known what happened to this first wife, but son George named a daughter after her.

[1] Maria Catherine Kraus (Krausin in German) b. 1736; dau. of Nicholas Kraus (Krausin) and Eva Catherine Haas; granddaughter of Hieronymus and Christina Haas. She was confirmed 14 April 1754 at the Augustus Lutheran Church in Trappe, New Providence Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania at teh age of 18. A notation on on her church record states that she "reads fairly well."
