He was married to a woman who was born on St. Croix in about 1806 and was a member of the Anglican Church.
Portraits were painted by Eliab Metcalf sometime between 13 January and 1 July 1826.
On 13 October 1828, he bought at auction, estate Concordia, 2 & 18 West End Quarter.

In October 1846, Mrs. E. Dewhurst was the owner of estate Concordia, West End Quarter, as well as estate Bog of Allen, Prince’s Quarter.
