[1] John Woodfield is the son of Thomas Woodfield and Elizabeth Denney. Marriage Certificate lists John as a Silk Weaver living at Lower Grosvenor Street. His father as Thomas Woodfield, Deceased. The marriage is witnessed by Caroline Dewhurst and David Boast. Address of the bride is Regent Street, Kensington - known to be the family residence. The 1851 census shows the couple living in the Tower Hamlets, Haggerstone West, St. Leonard's, Shoreditch, Middlesex - the street address is 43 Pearson St. and John is listed as a Clerk and Salesman (about this time the silk weaving industry went into a fairly severe decline, hence his change of occupation), Elizabeth is listed as born in Wakefield, Yorkshire. In 1861, the family lives at 2 Havelock St., Finsbury, St. Mary's, Islington and John works as a Mercantile Clerk. In 1871, the family lives at 4 Copenhagen Gr., Finsbury, Islington and John is listed as a Commercial Traveller. Cause oif Death was bronchitis, and John's residence at the time of death was 4 Copenhagen Street.

[2] Arthur James Partridge was b. 6 Jul 1865 in St Michael, Islington, Middlesex. Arthur was christened on 23 Jul 1836 in St Mary, Bury Saint Edmunds, Suffolk. He was the son of Richard Partridge a saddler & Sophia Robertson and as of the 1881 Census lived at 10 Victoria Gardens, Kensington, London, working as an iron monger's salesman, aged 44 years, widower, with the Wilton family.

[3] Thomas E. Woodfield first shows up in the 1861 census as a boarder at Christ Hospital Hertford St John, Rochester, Hertfordshire, England. In 1871, he is a servant at 74 Tottenham Ct. Rd., St. Pancras, Marylebone, London, England. In 1881, he lives with his mother, Elizabeth and sister Florence at 13 Windsor Road, St. Mary's, Finsbury, Islington, London. His occupation is "tailor shopman" and his birthplace is listed as Kingsland, Middlesex. In 1891, he lives with his wife, Elizabeth M., b. Reading, Berkshire, at 10 Ashmire Road, St. Mary's Paddington, London as a Salesman. Also in the household is Thomas' sister Gertrude J. Woodfield Crofts (married) and her newborn daughter, Isabel, aged 2 weeks. Apparently their son, Charles is visiting in the household of William Allen and his wife, Kate, who was born in the same place, Reading, Berkshire as Elizabeth Woodfield - probably his aunt and uncle. In 1901, Thomas and wife, Elizabeth live with their 17 year old son, Charles, and Thomas' sister Florence. He emigrated to New Zealand betw. 1904 -1907 where records list him: 1919 Electoral Roll Dunedin South, draper of 172 Main Road, Caversham, and 1928 Electoral Roll Dunedin South, retired of 4 Richmond Street, living 34 years in NZ, and working as a warehouseman of 18 Bangor Terrace, Kew. He lived in a cottage on the property of his son, and his cause of death was bronchial pneumonia for 4 days, and senility; occupation, livery stable proprietor. A 1924 Time capsule WAS unearthed in August 1992 having been buried on the site of A & T Inglis department store of George Street, Dunedin, containing a newspaper article giving 'Joe' Woodfield aged 73 as oldest employee
at the time. capsule to be re-buried. Thomas married Elizabeth Maria Goodship, daughter of Charles Goodship and Harriet Curtis, on 15 Jul 1882 in St Jude, Kensil Green, Middlesex. Elizabeth was christened on 3 Jul 1859 in St Mary, Reading, Berks. She died on 18 Dec 1940 in Dunedin, Otago and was buried on 20 Dec 1940 in Anderson's Bay, Otago, NZ. Thomas and Elizabeth had one child; Charles Thomas John Woodfield Captain was born on 29 May 1883 and died on 23 Oct 1957.

[4] Benjamin was born in 1857 in Tunstall, Staffordshire, England. Benjamin and Gertrude had the following children: Gertrude Crofts was born in 1878 in Islington, Middlesex, England, and Isabel Crofts was born in Mar 1891 in Islington, Middlesex, England.

[5] William was born in 1854 in Oxford Street West, Middlesex, England, son of Alfred Austin, a detective officer. At the time the coupod married William worked as an Inspector of telegraphic messages in Islington. In the 1881 Census, they lived at 1 Somerset Villas, Tottenham, Middlesex, and William woked as an inspector in the civil service.
