[2] According to the records of Harriett Williams; "Heinrich Adam Harman (b. Danube Valley 1700 - moved to Rhine Valley then emigrated to Pennsylvania in 1725-6 thence to VA near Strasburg in 1736. To Buchanan Bottoms on New River ca. 1746, d. New River January 1767) had a son Matthias, b. ca. 1736 Strasburg, VA. Matthias was a famous frontiersman; established Harman's Station in Kentucky; returned to Tazewell in old age and died at 96 years of age."

George, moved to Maryland next where he met and married his wife. He and his brothers then traveled down the Shenandoah Valley, some settling in Virginia (West Virginia) with a few continuing south to live in Rowan Co. (now Randolph Co.) North Carolina.
His Naturalization is recorded in Book 7, page 199 in Frederick County Maryland and says that George: "Born out of the Allegiance of his most Sacred Majesty King George the Third &c, did on the 14th day of September Anno Domini 1763 Personally appear before the Justices of the Lordships Provincial Court, and then and there, in Term Time, between the hours of Nine and Twelve in the forenoon of the same Day, produced and Delivered a Certificate in writing of his having received the sacrament of the Lords Supper in a Protestant or Reformed Congregation in the sd. province of Maryland, within three months next before exhibiting of such Certificate & had been in Majesties plantations seven years & not absent there from for longer than two months during the seven years."
